What is pecking?
Pecking stems from a behavioral disorder that can vary from one farm to another.
This phenomenon involves pulling out the plumage of other poultry with the beak, sometimes leading to injuries.
If pecking is not halted, it can quickly evolve into cannibalism. By pulling out feathers, blood may appear, and at that moment, the aggressor does not stop until it kills its companions.
Principle:
These glasses are attached to the top of the poultry's beak using a small pin.
The glasses thus block part of the animal's view, preventing it from seeing down in front of it. As a result, it finds it more difficult to attack its companions.
Also, if a hen in the flock is injured, this device prevents the aggressor from being attracted to the blood.
Allows stopping the pecking phenomenon without having to debeak the poultry.
