What is HPL?
HPL stands for high-pressure laminate; this innovative, high-quality material withstands all climatic inconveniences, and the homogeneity of the panel also provides it with great resistance to shocks, scratches, or bites. Also, the perfectly smooth surface of these panels makes them very easy to clean, as no dirt can cling to the panels. This material, primarily used in construction domains, makes this chicken coop a high-end shelter that lasts over time for your poultry. Another additional advantage of this HPL material is its insulating power to keep the heat emitted by your animals inside the chicken coop and protect them from bad weather. In summer, the felt temperature inside will be 20°C if it is 30°C outside, while in winter, for a temperature of -5°C, the felt temperature will be 5°C.
That is, an insulation from cold or heat of about 10°C.
Ecological and Responsible Composition!
Its construction with high-quality material, HPL, makes these chicken coops indestructible to wear, requiring no maintenance, being fireproof, non-toxic, and waterproof. The HPL laminate is composed of: 70% cellulose fibers = kraft paper sheets; 30% thermosetting resins. These two components are assembled under high pressure and high temperature to form a single body in the form of tiles. Tiles in HPL with which our chicken coops are made! You have probably already seen HPL panels in outdoor playgrounds.
Also, HPL helps reduce waste while preserving natural forest resources.
Buying an HPL chicken coop is a responsible purchase because no trees had to be cut down for its manufacture! Terwagne Elevage is pleased to offer you an alternative to low-end chicken coops made in China!
HPL Chicken Coops and RED MITES
The bestseller of chicken coops sold by Terwagne Elevage is the HPL chicken coop!
HPL Chicken Coop: a solution against red mites
Red mites can be found everywhere, but their preferred hosts are birds and poultry, whose blood they feed on at night. Red mites require certain living conditions to survive, and in HPL chicken coops, they will not find them! The ideal living conditions for red mites are warmth and moderate humidity. Conditions they will find in a wooden chicken coop where the temperature and humidity lead to rapid growth of these little creatures. Also, all the crevices in wooden chicken coops are ideal places for them to hide during the day and shield themselves from the light they cannot tolerate. HPL chicken coops have an anti-red mite effect due to their perfectly smooth walls without any cracks, preventing red mites from nesting in the chicken coop. Not a magical effect but a mechanical effect!
Regarding plastic chicken coops, They effectively combat red mites, but other problems remain. Indeed, these chicken coops have the disadvantage of having a lot of condensation inside, creating a humid environment for the hens. The ventilation of our HPL chicken coops and their regulating material prevent these inconveniences. Therefore, you will understand that by choosing our HPL chicken coops, you do not risk being infested by red mites, as these parasites have no place to lodge or gaps to nest in. **And what if a new hen arrives with red mites in the HPL chicken coop?** The risk of invasion will be very low, but it is useful to know that the HPL chicken coops can be easily dismantled, making it very easy to disinfect them with regular household products. The smooth walls can be disinfected in no time, whereas for a wooden chicken coop, you would need to put effort into scrubbing all the grooves and corners. **And if, despite this, you still want to treat your HPL chicken coop?** It is possible to take preventive action by applying real cade oil or diatomaceous earth (available at Terwagne Elevage) on the walls and perches of the chicken coop. **Unmatched Comfort** Comfort is a priority for Terwagne Elevage. The HPL chicken coops are designed to offer the most comfortable habitat. Their generous space provides enough room for each hen to stretch its wings, explore, and socialize. The perches are arranged to offer a place for each occupant, thus avoiding unnecessary conflict. The optimized ventilation ensures fresh and clean air, contributing to the health and well-being of the hens. Additionally, the materials used provide excellent thermal insulation, preserving warmth in winter and offering a cool refuge in summer. **Safety First** The safety of the hens is another priority of Terwagne Elevage. The HPL chicken coops are designed to offer optimal protection. Their robust and weather-resistant structure guarantees exceptional durability. These coops withstand all the challenges nature might present, be it strong winds, torrential rain, or snow. But safety doesn't stop at weather resistance. The HPL chicken coops are equipped with lockable doors and mesh windows, protecting the hens from predators. Moreover, cleaning and maintenance are made easier with removable trays and ergonomic access doors. This not only contributes to the hens' health but also to their safety. **An Ecological Commitment** The HPL chicken coops are not only a safe and comfortable shelter but also a symbol of commitment to the environment. HPL is a durable, eco-friendly, and recyclable material. By choosing HPL chicken coops, you are making a choice in favor of protecting our planet. **Overall Well-being** Beyond comfort and safety, the HPL chicken coops from Terwagne Elevage in Ciney ensure the overall well-being of the hens. A chicken coop is more than just a house; it's a living space. It's where hens eat, lay eggs, sleep, and interact with each other. In these coops, every detail is designed to promote the well-being of the hens. The nesting boxes are designed to offer a safe and quiet place for laying. The walking areas are large enough to allow each hen to stretch its legs and exercise. The windows allow natural light to enter, creating a bright and welcoming environment. Terwagne Elevage has designed these coops with true passion and dedication to these wonderful creatures. Each HPL chicken coop is not just a product; it's a promise: a promise of safety, comfort, and well-being for every hen that finds refuge in it. A promise that Terwagne Elevage is honored to keep.
