Why Develop Chicken Coops for 25 to 75 Chickens?
Always attentive to our customers, we noticed a growing demand for this size of chicken coop. Often, people who raise more than 20 chickens opt for a wooden garden shed, which they modify and transform into a chicken coop, with all the resulting disadvantages: humidity, condensation, maintenance difficulties, red mite infestation, high cost, and lack of insulation.
Le Roi de la Poule offers you a basic module for 25 chickens and additional modules of 25 chickens each to be added lengthwise to the first one.
This is why we have developed, with our HPL chicken coop manufacturer, high-volume chicken coops.
A Quick Reminder About This Magical Material, Red Mite-Resistant HPL
Its HPL construction makes them indestructible to wear, they require no maintenance, are rot-resistant, easy to clean, ultra-strong, insulating, and red mite-resistant!
High-pressure laminate (HPL) is composed of:
- 70% cellulose fiber (paper sheet);
- 30% thermosetting resins.
These two elements are assembled under high pressure and high temperature to form HPL panels with which our chicken coops are made!
(You have probably already seen HPL panels in outdoor play areas for making children's games, at highway rest areas, or in the construction field)
HPL stands for high-pressure laminate, this innovative, high-quality material withstands all climatic inconveniences, and the uniformity of the panel also provides great resistance to shocks, scratches, or bites.
Also, the perfectly smooth surface of these panels makes them very easy to clean, no dirt can stick to the panels, and washing can be done with a high-pressure machine.
This material, primarily used in the construction field, makes this chicken coop a high-end, rot-resistant shelter that lasts over time for your poultry.
In summer, the perceived temperature inside will be 20°C if it's 30°C outside, while in winter, for a temperature of -5°C, the perceived temperature will be 5°C.
This means an insulation of about 10°C from the cold or heat.
Assembly Without Tools!
Our chicken coops are easy to assemble, only four bolts are needed to secure the roof ridge. The HPL panels are designed to allow the elements to fit together, the weight of our chicken coops is quite substantial because the panels are very compact, which provides an additional advantage for stability. Even in strong winds, our chicken coops remain anchored to the ground! The strong point of this assembly system is that if you wish to move the coop, it will take you only about fifteen minutes, including disassembly and reassembly.
Example below with a Gothic chicken coop for 5 to 7 chickens.
HPL Chicken Coop, Red Mite-Resistant!
Red mites mainly target birds and poultry, feeding on their blood at night when the chickens return to the coop, during the day they hide in the cracks found between the boards of wooden chicken coops.
Red mites need specific conditions to survive, and in our HPL chicken coops, they don't find them! The main ones, are heat and average humidity. Conditions found inside a wooden chicken coop where the temperature and humidity cause rapid growth of these little creatures. All the gaps between the boards of wooden chicken coops are ideal places for red mites to hide from the light they cannot stand.
As for plastic chicken coops, They effectively fight against red mites, but other problems persist; indeed, these chicken coops have the disadvantage of having a lot of condensation inside, creating a humid environment for the chickens. The ventilation in our HPL chicken coops and their regulating material prevent these inconveniences. You will therefore understand that by choosing our HPL chicken coops, you are not at risk of being infested by red mites, as these parasites have no places to lodge, no gaps to nest in, and the humidity level is much better regulated than in wooden or plastic chicken coops. Easy cleaning of the chicken coop Our HPL chicken coops are very easy to clean, firstly due to the strength of the panels which allows for pressure washer cleaning, and secondly because the panels are smooth, preventing dirt from sticking.
